Chevrolet Venture 2002 Owners ManualTilt Wheel A tilt wheel allows you to adjust the steering wheel before you drive. You can raise it to the highest level to give your legs more room when you exit and enter the vehicle. The lever that allows you to tilt the steering wheel is located on the left side of the steering column. To tilt the wheel, hold the wheel and pull the lever. Then move the steering wheel to a comfortable position and release the lever to lock the wheel in place. Turn Signal/Multifunction Lever The lever on the left side of the steering column includes the following: Turn and Lane-Change Signals Headlamp High/Low-Beam Changer Flash-to-Pass Feature Windshield Wipers Windshield Washer Cruise Control (Option) Turn and Lane-Change Signals The turn signal has two upward (for right) and two downward (for left) positions. There are parts of the air bag systems in several places around your vehicle. Your dealer and the service manual have information about servicing your vehicle and the air bag systems. To purchase a service manual, see “Service and Owner Publications” in the Index. Safety Belt Pretensioners Your vehicle has safety belt pretensioners. You’ll find them on the buckle end of the safety belts for the driver and right front passenger. They help the safety belts reduce a person’s forward movement in a moderate to severe crash in which the front of the vehicle hits something. Pretensioners work only once.
